We collect information you provide directly, including vehicle plate numbers you search for, email addresses (if provided for receipts), and payment information processed through Stripe. We also collect standard web analytics data such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited.

We use the information we collect to provide vehicle check reports, process payments, send receipts, improve our service, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt in.

To generate vehicle reports, we access data from the NZ Police stolen vehicle database, the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR), and the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). This data is accessed in real-time and is not stored beyond what is necessary to generate your report.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment details on our servers. Stripe’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Vehicle reports are retained for 30 days to allow you to access them after purchase. After 30 days, reports and associated data are permanently deleted. Payment records are retained as required by New Zealand tax law.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure server infrastructure, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
